Health & Well-Being
Health and well-being are more than just eating the right foods and exercising regularly. They're about taking care of all of you. From completing a health assessment – so you know your health risks and strengths – to getting the right routine screening exams at the right time, to getting enough sleep and keeping stress at a manageable level.
Health assessment
The health assessment, provided through Blue Cross of Idaho's WellConnected program, is a series of questions that take 10-15 minutes to complete. The assessment requires up-to-date biometric data (including blood pressure, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and glucose) as well as height, weight, and waist measurements.
The assessment evaluates risk factors related to health habits, personal history, and lifestyle. Upon completion, it provides the user with a personalized report that highlights strengths, weaknesses, and risks and directs the user to information, tools, and programs to help them make improvements in their health and well-being.
The 2012 health assessment is available from January 1 to April 30.
