Company’s professional drivers will carry the “People’s Tree” nearly 3,000 miles from Idaho to Washington, D.C.
BOISE, IDAHO – October 26, 2026 – Boise Cascade Company (“Boise Cascade” or the “Company”) (NYSE: BCC) is honored to play a special role in one of America’s most beloved holiday traditions as the transportation partner for the 2026 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree.
Known as the “People’s Tree,” this year’s tree comes from Idaho’s Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests and will travel nearly 3,000 miles to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. Along the way, the tree will make stops at community celebrations across the country, bringing people together to share in the spirit of the holiday season.
For Boise Cascade, a company headquartered in Idaho with a long history in the wood products and building materials industries, the opportunity holds special significance.
“At Boise Cascade, we haul wood products every day, but transporting the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree is a very special delivery,” said Jeff Strom, CEO of Boise Cascade. “This tree will carry the spirit of Idaho nearly 3,000 miles to Washington, D.C., bringing communities together along the way. I’m especially proud of our drivers, who are taking on this incredible responsibility with the skill, professionalism, and dedication they bring to their work every day. They’ll be representing Boise Cascade at every stop along the way, and I know they’ll make us proud! We’re honored to be part of this beloved tradition and excited to help bring the People’s Tree safely to our nation’s capital while spreading plenty of holiday cheer along the way.”
Four Boise Cascade professional drivers have been selected to participate in the journey: Monte Cook and Fred Holmes of Spokane, Washington; Phillip Cramer of Billings, Montana; and Tianne Larrimer of Houston, Texas. Together, they bring more than 100 years of professional driving experience in this special assignment.

The drivers will transport the tree aboard a specially decorated Kenworth T680 provided by Kenworth Truck Company, a longtime sponsor of the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree initiative. Kenworth recommended Boise Cascade for the transportation role, recognizing the company’s transportation expertise, commitment to safety, and connection to Idaho.
The annual U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree tradition celebrates America’s national forests and the communities and people connected to them. Boise Cascade is honored to join the many organizations and volunteers helping bring this beloved tradition to life.
