Nate Jorgensen, Chief Executive Officer
Nate was promoted to CEO in 2020. Prior to being named CEO, he was promoted to senior vice president in 2017 to lead the EWP sales and marketing organization, and was named chief operating officer (COO) in January 2019, responsible for overseeing the Wood Products and Building Materials Distribution divisions. Nate joined Boise Cascade in 2015. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin and also attended the Tuck School of Business Executive Education Program at Dartmouth University. Mr. Jorgensen recently joined the board of directors for the American Wood Council.
Kelly Hibbs, SVP, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Kelly was promoted to SVP, CFO and Treasurer in May 2021. His previous positions were VP, Controller and Director of Strategic Planning and Internal Audit. He is a certified public accountant and has worked for the Company since 1996. He received a B.A. in accounting from Boise State University. Kelly serves on the board of the Downtown Boise Association.
Erin Nuxoll, Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Erin was promoted to SVP in 2019. She rejoined Boise Cascade in 2016 after serving as SVP of HR for a global, family-owned private company in Boise for 10 years. Erin received a master’s in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University and a bachelor’s in forest management from Washington State University, beginning her career with Boise Cascade as a forester. She currently serves on the board of the Idaho Community Foundation.
Jill Twedt, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Jill was promoted to General Counsel in 2019. She was named Vice President and Corporate Secretary in August 2017. Prior to joining the Company in 2007, she practiced employment law litigation. Jill earned her law degree from University of Idaho and a bachelor’s degree from the College of Idaho, where she is the vice chair for the Board of Trustees. Jill also serves on the local United Way board.
BUILDING MATERIALS DISTRIBUTION
Jeff Strom, Executive Vice President
Jeff joined Boise Cascade in 2006 as a sales representative and has taken on increased responsibility over the last 14 years. He most recently served as Vice President and General Manager of the Eastern Region. Jeff has nearly 30 years of industry experience. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Rich Viola, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Rich was promoted to SVP in the Building Materials Division in 2016. He has held sales and marketing leadership roles with the Company since 1999. Prior to that, he was employed with Furman Lumber, which was later acquired by Boise Cascade. Rich earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Northeastern University in Boston.
Tom Hoffmann, Vice President, Purchasing
Tom became VP in 2016. He joined the Boise Cascade in 1981 and his previous roles include Division Operations Manager, Pacific Region Manager and Branch Manager. Tom has a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Idaho.
Mike Brown, Executive Vice President
Mike was promoted to EVP in 2019, after previous promotions to SVP in 2017 and VP in 2016. Mike joined Boise Cascade in 1999 and has served in several leadership roles in the field and the corporate office. He has an MBA from Cranfield University in U.K. and a bachelor’s degree in forestry from Australian National University. Mike currently serves on the board of trustees for the APA-Engineered Wood Association.
Rob Johnson, Vice President of Engineered Wood Products (EWP) Sales and Marketing
Rob joined the company’s Wood Products division as a Business Optimization Engineer in 2014 and accepted a Director position with EWP Sales and Marketing in March 2019. Rob had more than 20 years of broad industry experience in manufacturing and distribution prior to joining Boise Cascade. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Oregon.
Chris Seymour, Vice President of Manufacturing Operations
Chris began his career at Boise Cascade in 2000 and has held several leadership roles in the company’s manufacturing division. He earned both a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Wood Science from West Virginia University.
