Boise Cascade‘s Louisiana mills initiated an agreement with the U.S. Army to join their Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) program. PaYS is designed to help soldiers prepare for a successful career after their military service by connecting them with employers for interviews and creating professional relationships. This opportunity is available for active duty soldiers as well as ROTC cadets, National Guard and Army Reserve members. Once initial entry training is complete, the qualified soldier is able to start the interview process with a partnered companies and jumpstart their career.
Boise Cascade will be among 800+ companies providing this employment avenue for those who have served our country. “This is great opportunity for us to support our troops and, at the same time, help address our staffing challenges,” said Dan Moore, HR Generalist in Florien. “Military members bring the values, discipline and work ethic we need in our workforce.”
To make the partnership official, both parties came together August 6 in Lena for a signing ceremony in front of the media.
