Why We Support St. Jude
Building relationships in our community is important to us, and at Boise Cascade, we choose to build a strong relationship with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, a global organization that performs lifesaving work every day.

Where Our Partnership Began
Our partnership began when we were introduced to Carson Elizabeth, a St. Jude patient who carried resilience as she faced cancer and shared strength with those who knew her. Despite her circumstances, she remained strong, and during her time at St. Jude, she managed to save $128.56 in her princess piggy bank, which has become a symbol for us at Boise Cascade. Before she passed, she gave the piggy bank to her parents and asked that they give the money to St. Jude. Carson passed away at just age nine.
It’s because of Carson and all the kids at St. Jude that Boise Cascade chooses to help make cures possible for kids with cancer. It is our responsibility, and honor, to continue Carson Elizabeth’s legacy and generosity in this way.
